Fonon Technologies, a marketing and systems integration provider of laser technologies for material processing and defense infrastructures, is participating in the NCMS Sustainment Accelerator: U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC) in Yokosuka, Japan.
Scheduled for February 25-27, the Sustainment Accelerator, hosted annually by SRF-JRMC in partnership with the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS), offers a platform for showcasing innovative products, processes, and capabilities. Participants have the opportunity to engage directly with Department of Defense (DOD) personnel, gaining high visibility and exploring collaboration opportunities with technology experts in the Navy’s maintenance community.
“Our participation in the NCMS Technology Showcase is a testament to Fonon Technologies’ commitment to advancing naval and defense solutions,” said Bryan Lee, vice president of Fonon Technologies.
“We are excited to demonstrate how our state-of-the-art laser systems not only meet but exceed military standards, addressing the most challenging MRO needs with precision and efficiency. This event is an excellent opportunity to strengthen our partnerships and drive innovation in the industry.”
The NCMS Sustainment Accelerator convenes programme managers, engineers, maintenance personnel and base leadership, fostering an ideal environment for networking and collaboration on tailored solutions for the shipyard’s specific requirements. NCMS provides streamlined contracting vehicles for government projects, removing barriers and simplifying complex compliance requirements.
At the event, Fonon Technologies is presenting its compact pulsed fibre laser system with weatherproof case, the DefenseTech MRLS Portable Finishing Laser (DTMF-1020). Naval professionals can learn how DefenseTech aids in rust control and coating removal, optimizing MRO processes and streamlining inventory maintenance. Representatives will also discuss the company’s full range of industrial-grade laser systems for marking, cutting and welding.
