At the Hello Tomorrow deeptech event in Paris, we spoke with Australian company Powerblocks’ CEO and co-founder, Julie Leung, CEO.
The company has set out to create modular and stylish energy storage for every home and business. It is specifically targeting remote, rural homes, outdoor swimming pools, small homes, those looking to expand on their existing energy storage, or for using off-peak energy at night.
Powerblocks use low carbon concrete composites, and can include low value by-products to be diverted from landfill to enhance the Powerblock environmental footprint.
The company partners with recycling companies for solar cells and lithium battery products.
